George Peterson

A finance executive, transformational leader, and accomplished entrepreneur, George Peterson understands the challenges that can accompany big life changes. He leverages this extensive experience as well as professional coaching training to help individuals adeptly navigate career transitions and business challenges. With a deliberate and empathetic approach, George guides people through times of indecision and empowers them to create their own unique path.

 

Previously, George spent more than 35 years as a CPA and tax consultant with Ernst & Young. During his tenure as Partner, he was involved in client service, people and talent development, and the executive leadership of the firm’s operations and management, both domestically and globally. As a senior leader for a practice spanning 30 countries and 10,000 people, he found a true and unexpected passion for mentoring others.

After his retirement from Ernst & Young, George completed his professional coaching training at the Institute for Transformational Leadership at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He is now committed to sharing his experiences—professional and personal—to serve the advancement of others.

George currently stays engaged in the financial markets and utilizes his talent management skills as a founding shareholder of Ameriscend, a privately owned company in the packaging machine manufacturing space.

George earned a BS in Accounting from Drexel University and an MS in Taxation from Pace University, as well as a Professional Certified Coach designation from the International Coaching Federation. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three adult children. and two adorable granddaughters. They live in Atlanta, GA, and enjoy spending time with their family and exploring the great outdoors.
